Our Rich River winner, Ed Kloprogge,  got up today to win two par points clear of the field with a +4 with the club captain Damo and Jan two strokes behind with a creditable +2. More than half the 19 players today were -1 or better which shows our general golfing competencies as a club aren’t too bad at all.

Happy Australia Day weekend to all members.

Results for 16th January 2010

Our winner today, Chris Priems, is getting up a head of steam with back to back wins and its only week 3! We’ll all have to lift our game to make sure he doesn’t show us all a clean pair of heels.

Craig took out the money jackpot today with 1.53m on the 18th.

It started out cool today but then the latter part of the round was getting really warm. As I write this its 12 degrees. Its true if you don’t like the weather wait 5 minutes!

Rumor – Yoga classes for members

Some of you may have noticed the strange behaviour of some of our players. Are they practising yoga? Perhaps they’re just exhibitionists. If we keep ignoring this behaviour we can probably avoid being gangpressed into Yoga lessons.

Whatever it is its not pretty 🙂

Results for January Monthly Medal 9th Jan 2010

Chris Priems braved the hottest day for 12 months and won the first Monthly Medal of 2010 on countback from Harry, Kazim and our new president Andrew. To say it was hot is an understatement, consider poor Oliver who came straight from -10degF in Chicago to 38.5degC here all within 36 hours!

Andrew gave his inaugural wrap up of the round today and kept the members under control for the announcements and ball run. Targe took out the Nearest the Pin and the money hole jackpotted once again.

Thats funny I could have sworn it was Targe that had the bright orange hat on his noggin on Saturday!!

Lets hope its cooler next week!!
