Damo in top placings

Well done to Damo who shot 78 off the stick to come in 3rd place in the clubhouse medal of medallists and do our club proud.

The round took 5h and 50m so afternoon golf ain’t all it’s cracked up to be. Makes our 4.5h rounds look pretty nifty.

The winner was Anthony who used to work in the pro shop who had 77 off the stick with 17 handicap.

A presidential win today with Andrew Petricola showing everyone a clear pair of heels by a margin of 4 stableford points and winning the day with an excellent 41 points off  a 6 handicap. Targe came second with 37 points and is aiming accurately enough to take out a few ducks cleanly next weekend.

Next week is the inaugral Stuart Clarke Memorial Trophy which will be in stableford format over two weeks. Good luck to all especially Rodger.

Top scoring today with our resident Illinoisan, Oliver Gross, showing everyone a clean pair of heels to take out the March Monthly Medal. Oliver shot a 69 off the stick bettering his handicap by 9 strokes and net 59!!. A great win and I almost feel guilty adjusting Oliver’s handicap to 7 (I only wanted to say that so you think the handicapper has a heart!).
Joe Demir came in with a great round of net 62 for second place and also won the money hole. Hope he didn’t lose it on the washed out races today. ‘Eddy the eagle‘ took out the eagles nest today so well done Kloppy!.
Although the handicap sheets nominates next week as the club meeting I think its been changed to another date so will keep you all posted.
It was a really humid and muggy day resulting in the worst storm in Melbourne in 40 years. Luckily we weren’t affected so I hope the same goes for all our members.
Have a look at the matchplay results and let me know if there’s any results missed.
Next week Damo and I are playing in the clubhouse medal of medallists ow we won’t be joining the club in the morning as we’re not allowed to play two rounds on the same day..so good luck to everyone.
