Ecelectic 2008 Results

The official last round of 2008 was the 29th November and the Eclectic Competition was decided on that day. For those of you unfamiliar with the Eclectic it is calculated from the best score per hole you achieved during the year. Scores are added up for holes 1 to 18 and then half the handicap on the last round (29th Nov) is deducted to arrive at the net Eclectic score. The lowest Eclectic score wins the competition and this year – yes its him again – CHRIS PRIEMS our club champion who won with a net score of 46.5, Craig Sharp was second with 47.9 and Damien Lee third with 48.15. To view the full Eclectic results click ‘Eclectic’ under Competitions on the right side of the screen.

Well done Chris!!

Vin O’Meara groups for round two next week will be posted early this week. Our round 1 leader is Chris Priems (can nothing stop this man!) with a net 60 and Gordon Hill close on his heels with a 61.

TURF’N’DIRT

A PACK OF WIMPS

My sources tell me not one member of our club completed their round last week, yet the pink slipper club played out the eighteen holes. Either we’re a pack of wimps or they are a pack of idiots.   I’ll let you be the judge.

SEVENTEENTH CALCUTTA

This Saturday we will be holding our seventeenth Calcutta.  For the newer members who have’nt witnessed one before it goes like this.

Its a chance to launder some black money as we auction off the players in the Annual copetition. All of the proceeds are returned to the members in the following manner. 70% goes to the buyer of the winner, 20% to the buyer of second place and 10% to the buyer of the third place getter. So open up those cheque books and be prepared to loose your dough. Winners will be notified by a postcard from the Bahamas.

Until next time,

Hit them straight and not very often
