Results for 18th September 2010
Our winner today was Richard Hall with an excellent 40 stableford points 2 clear of Rodger Clarke with 38 points. Well done boys. There were 20 players today and a mild day with the course drying out well. With the dams at 48% now we should see a nice green course for the spring.
Note. The course has now been sold to the same group that run Yarrambat and they will commence in March next year. A few of us play at Yarrambat through the week and the management there seems very friendly so this bodes well for us.
Matchplay semi finals were completed today with Damo beating Priemsy 4 & 3 and Rodger beating Andrew 6&4. Winners or losers should be proud of the fact they made it this far in the competition.
Next week is Grand Final Saturday so there will be a shotgun start at 7.30. Please arrive at 7-7.15 to allow time to proceed to the starting hole.

Party time !
Dear all,
Due to Craig’s tremendous organisational skills and notice and being computer literate to send this; Craig has asked me to inform you all that he has arranged a Bucks party for Damien for this coming Saturday, details as below:
Date: 18 September 2010
Venue: Sandbelt Hotel, South Road, Moorabbin
Time: 3pm onwards
I am sure Damien would welcome anyone who can attend and help him forget (to some extent by how drunk he will be) what he really is doing on October 17…
Regards,
Pres

Spring is definitely now approaching with a mild day for golf and the course drying out a bit from the past months rain. The results today had each placing only one point apart so it was a tightly fought contest. The warmer weather obvious inspired Emilio Bassi to a fine win today with 38 stableford points one clear of Rod Grant who also had a great round of 37.
Note. Next week is the deadline for the matchplay semi finals to be completed.

Presidents Message from Andrew
Hello fellow illustrious members (excluding Tomp and Dags)
Apologies for only having limited rounds lately (although a few of you would be delighted) but Caroline and I are trying to purchase a property and unfortunately not having much luck at the moment…so I have had the pleasure of inspecting numerous properties and getting to realize more and more what we can/cannot afford…
Anyhow, I am writing this message to advise that our next meeting will be on October monthly medal day. If you have any agenda items or new business you would like to raise, please issue to either myself or David Howard 1 week prior to the meeting date so these can be added to the agenda for discussion.
Also during the meeting we will invite nominations for the committee in 2011 so if you can have these ready for the day also these can be tabled at the AGM in December.
Hit them straight and very often.
Pres
