A gorgeous May day welcomed 21 members for our favourite format of the game, you guessed it… Preferred lies!! After last weekends downpour, the course played very well, greens that ran quite fast, and pretty solid footing throughout the journey round.
Winners were grinnersĀ this week. And none more so than Mo SAbih. Not only grabbingĀ the 8 championship points, the 3 points in the seniors comp, Mo manadgedĀ to eliminate MehmetĀ AkdagĀ in their second round mathplay game. Bad luck Mem, just can’t pick your days..
Mo finished the round with an impressive 85 gross for a +3! Maybe the matchplay conditions suited, so beware who ever hasĀ to face him in the Quarters. Solid rounds were played by TargeĀ Mifsud(+2), Stephen Butterfield(+1), and Mike Mann(0). Well played gentlemen, lets hope next weeks Stableford round can produce more than 4 members with 36 points or better!
